GeoCities to Shutdown; What Was GeoCities, You Ask?

Aw, this makes me sad. I remember making some of my first websites on GeoCities. I made my first website in the 5th grade. It was a Hanson fan page (I know) that I worked tirelessly on and I even won some “awards” from Hanson webrings (oh god, remember webrings?). After my fascination with Hanson passed, my site became a movie review website, a Jon Stewart fan page and finally a personal web page where I posted my art before I got wise and deleted the whole thing. Those were the days.
