So, I recently blew what little money I had saved up on new locks for my doors (I know, exciting) but now I don’t have any money to buy a new office chair for my New Home Officeâ„¢, so I have to come up with ways to score some extra dough. Here are my ideas:

1. Return clothes I recently bought that I don’t really need. Why I was ever motivated to buy printed silk trousers from H&M is another question that I don’t really think I want to know the answer to (I’m pretty sure it involves me becoming Bea Arthur). TOTAL: about $100 for 3 items.

2. Take my piggy bank of coins to the Coin Star! I can’t believe I haven’t gotten around to this yet. If there is one thing I love, it is getting rid of change. TOTAL: Eh, $40?

3. Sell clothes to Beacons and try to resist the urge to splurge the money on clothes. TOTAL: Probably $70.

4. Get my boyfriend to pay his share of the bills. $65

5. Donate extra clothes and things to the Salvation Army on Bedford before it closes down so I can get the tax write off. They still do this, right? Because I REALLY need that tax write off. TOTAL: I have no idea, probably a dime or something.

So that will hopefully end up being a bit of money for me. I have decided that I can’t get the Aeron chair of my dreams because it is too expensive (even for an item that will be a tax deduction) and I am pretty sure I will be just as happy with some Crate and Barrel chairs I liked that they have at the Gawker Offices. Sure they are ugly, but they feel nice!

I’m just really looking forward to no longer needing to have the circulation to my legs cut off from my pointless “lap desk” that I rest on my legs while I work.
