Martha Stewart is awesome. Not only do I read her book The Homekeeper’s Handbook almost every night before I go to bed (I’m a sucker for tips, whatever, judge me) but she is also a tough broad.
First of all, yes, everyone knows that Martha Stewart went to jail. Yes, everyone makes cheap, unfunny, and outdated jokes now and then about America’s Favorite Corrupt CEO, but you can never take away her class. Never! Not only does she address the whole jail issue in a grandmotherly-yet-awesome way, she also sasses back even the queeniest of sassy actors when they try make fun of her.
Although, regarding the most recent display of awesome, I am forced to choose between two of my favorite celebrities: Martha Stewart and Nathan Lane, I am going to have to go with Martha on this one, because not only did she handle the situation with some wit, she also has UNPARALLELED restraint in not making some snide comment about Nathan’s sexuality. Not that I think she would, Martha would never alienate her gays.
