So, during NY Fashion Week I had to look through about 4 trillion photos from all of the fashion shows, including front row celebrity shots. Anyways, I noticed that Tyra Banks AND Noted Fashion Photographer(TM) Nigel Barker (or whatever, yeah I’m not going to bother googling his name) were sitting TOGETHER in the FRONT ROW at a FASHION SHOW, TOGETHER.
This can only mean one thing: the America’s Next Top Model finale will involve a walk-off at Betsey Johnson’s fashion show from this past week!!1! Officially, I guess Tyra was at FW taping segments for her “show,” which I guess is supposed to mean The Tyra Show, a study in audience embaressment. However, does anyone actually think Tyra and Nigel just hang out together like BFFs at fashion shows? And seriously, Nigel Barker was everywhere during fashion week, does anyone think he actually cares about FW? Probs not.
Anyways, because I am a nice person, I sent a tip to Fashionista thinking that they would appreciate such a speculative, overly stretched, piece of information (I mentioned this AMAZING piece of gossip to my boss but she didn’t seem that interested, naturally) especially considering they were posting a thousand tips about other lame things all week. Anyways, Faran—does she even still work there? I am totally confused about what is going on with the editors right now—did not reply (expected) and my item was not posted (also expected, but whatever!)
Things that Fashionista has been posting about? Topshop’s “fashion show” and other things that are just a chance for them to toss around the words “Kate Moss” and “Sienna Miller” like they are on the pulse of what is hip in 2005.
Lesson: send your gossip tips to the reputable sources: Us Mag, Perez, and DListed. At least they take half-truths and run with them!
